As always WBAC members have a range of exciting new events on offer in and around Walsh Bay. This month we have the final installment of the ATYP’s ‘Voices Project’ for aspiring young actors (until February 20), contemporary Chinese art specialist, Vermillion Art Gallery, launch a exciting new exhibition featuring renowned photographic artist, Zhang Xiao, while Sydney Dance Company will get you into shape with a new lunchtime dance class, Jazz Express.

All Good Things is the last season of the ATYP’s six-year investment in monologues for young actors. Directed by one of Australia’s leaders in new writing, Iain Sinclair, this latest production aptly explores the theme of departures. Promising to be: “always surprising, tender, shocking and funny,” The Voices Project has been an important venture for a generation of young Australians. All Good Things runs until 20 February. Vermilion Art Gallery is celebrating Chinese New Year with the opening of The Road Home. This is the first solo exhibition in Australia bymultiple award winning photographic artist, Zhang Xiao, whose works record poignant moments in the lives of Chinese people as they navigate the rapidly changing world around them. The exhibition runs at the Hickson Road gallery until March 6.

Sydney Dance Company recently launched Jazz Express - a non-stop dance class with a variety of easy to follow moves for a whole body, fun exercise routine.  The 45-minute lunchtime ‘power class’ is on Mondays and Tuesdays and is a sure-fire way to add a bit of sizzle to the working week.  Jazz Express joins Sydney Dance Company’s existing Wednesday lunch latin-inspired Zumba class.
