Businesses in the City of Sydney as well as Leichhardt and Marrickville local government areas interested in implementing a live music program, or refine an existing live music program, can gain free advice from experienced musicians in a new pilot program to encourage widespread live music in Sydney.

AMPLIFY is a program that aims to cover many different aspects of getting involved in live music and will provide support for existing live music spaces - while encouraging the development of additional performance opportunities alongside the Live Music Office, Music NSW, APRA AMCOS and Leichhardt and Marrickville Councils.

Live music expert, Clayton Ries has been appointed as part of the program to liaise with businesses to identify the benefits of live music and maximise return for those involved.

The City is calling on businesses interested in hosting live music to contact Clayton and discuss taking part in the pilot program. While licensed venues - like pubs and clubs typically already host most live music, the pilot program is encouraging a range of operators within the community to also have a go and take part.

Businesses and organisations wanting to participate in the project or to find out more should contact Clayton Ries at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
