NSW Business Chamber Workplace Updates is a free seminar series open to WBAC members providing business advice and assistance on complex workplace laws.

The next local seminar takes place in Macquarie Street on Wednesday, October 12 and is suitable for anyone responsible for the supervision of employees and wanting to better understand liabilities involved with employee behaviour outside the workplace.

The seminar will also cover managing the risks of social media in the workplace as well as appreciating legal obligations as an employer under the Fair Work Act.

Expert tips and advice is provided by workplace relations experts from Australian Business Lawyers & Advisors who will be on-hand on the day to discuss topics such as:

How employers can be affected by the conduct of employees outside of the workplace; how use of social media in the workplace might result in issues such as privacy breaches, workplace bullying and reputational damage and what practical measures employers can implement to manage social media usage.
